Introducing The Creator of Britt’s Studio

After the post-COVID wave, I noticed there weren’t many places offering semi-regular, unique, affordable or foundational art classes in Newcastle. I knew this needed to change, thus Britt’s Studio was born! I’m passionate about drawing, painting, and illustrating, but teaching the foundations of art is what truly fuels my fire. It’s incredible to watch my students unlock their creativity and create stunning pieces by the end of each workshop. Since April 2024, I’ve guided nearly 300 amazing students—something I never imagined possible! Let’s keep this journey going!💖

Brittany drew a lot as a little girl, but she truly began her artistic path in 2015 at the National Art School with intensive Life Drawing. She went on to attain a Bachelor of Creative Industries at the University of Newcastle in 2020. Undeterred by the pandemic, she furthered her education with a Certificate III in Arts Administration (2021) with TAFE NSW and an Undergraduate Certificate in Creative Arts and Health, specialising in art for aged care and disability with the University of Tasmania in 2024.

As a one-woman show, Brittany handles everything from graphic design to event management, even crafting this website herself! Since quitting her corporate job in 2024, Brittany has thrived as an entrepreneur whilst also working in medical reception. Looking ahead to 2025, she’s excited to refine her impressionist realism and share upcoming events.

Brittany is studying a Masters of Business, Arts & Cultural Management specialising in Events with Deakin University this year! Britt has volunteered this year at The Lock Up Gallery fortnightly for 7 months, the Newcastle Fringe Festival and Newcastle Writers Festival in 2025. Her passion is events in the arts and cultural sector, not only being an artist but showcasing that artistic expression with others.
